How is the price composed?

We completely understand that the price may seem higher at first compared to disposable diapers. However, Lybbie is made from particularly durable, high-quality materials: double-stitched seams with outdoor-grade threads, a robust outer fabric, four layers of bamboo on the inside, high-quality elastics that do not stretch out, and a thoughtfully engineered leak protection system (patent pending).

All of this ensures that a Lybbie lasts a long time — and that you ultimately spend significantly less than you would with disposable diapers.
Technology

Our diapers use a multi-layer textile technology that wicks moisture away from the skin, absorbs it, and prevents leaks.

Care Instructions

Lybbies can be washed at up to 60 degrees without losing absorbency. 🧺

After use, place them in the wet bag: You can store your Lybbies there for 3–4 days.

Into the washing machine: Wash them at up to 60°C with a pre-wash cycle and a sensitive powder detergent — ideally together with the rest of your 60-degree laundry. 🫧

Let them dry and reuse: The diapers usually dry overnight and are ready to use again the next day. ☀️

    Was ist die Lybbie Windel?

    Lybbie funktioniert wie eine Wegwerfwindel. Nur, dass Du sie nach dem Tragen wäschst.

    Jede Windel ist vollständig vorbereitet, Du brauchst keine separaten Einlagen oder Booster. Einfach ans Baby legen, Klettverschluss schließen und fertig.

    Die Druckknöpfe an der Vorderseite erleichtern die Größeneinstellung: Für kleinere Babys werden mehr Knopfreihen geschlossen, und wenn Dein Kind wächst, wächst die Windel bequem mit.

    Und die Kacke?

    Dafür gibt es unser Sch(m)utzpapier.

    Du reißt ein Blatt ab und legst es in die Windel. Bei Stuhlgang nimmst Du das Papier einfach heraus und entsorgst es im Mülleimer. Fertig.

    Und der Milchstuhl? Er ist wasserlöslich und kann hygienisch mitgewaschen werden. Ab dem Beikoststart empfehlen wir die Nutzung des Sch(m)utzpapiers.

    Und wenn es einmal vergessen wurde? Kein Problem: Die innere Oberfläche der Windel lässt sich leicht ausklopfen, sodass sich Rückstände gut entfernen lassen.

    Wohin mit der benutzten Windel?

    Dafür gibt es unsere praktischen Wetbags.

    Die benutzte Windel kommt einfach hinein und kann dort bis zu vier Tage gelagert werden. Die Beschichtung sorgt dafür, dass weder Gerüche noch Feuchtigkeit nach außen dringen.

    Der große Wetbag ist für zuhause gedacht und bietet Platz für bis zu 20 Windeln.

    Der kleine Wetbag ist ideal für unterwegs und fasst bis zu 4 Windeln.

    • Put the diaper on the child

      Lybbie is put on exactly like a disposable diaper: place it on your baby, close it, done.

      To ensure the perfect fit, adjust the front snaps once to match your child’s thigh circumference. The leg opening should sit softly against the skin without any visible gap — that is when the diaper provides reliable support in everyday use.

    • Sch(m)utzpapier catches the stool

      Our disposable liner is a soft insert placed inside the diaper. It catches your baby’s stool and can be disposed of afterward.

    • The stool is disposed of

      You simply dispose of the stool together with the disposable liner in the trash.

    FAQs

    Is this a cloth diaper? Do I need to fold anything?

    Our Lybbie diaper sits right at the intersection of cloth and disposable. It’s reusable and free from harmful substances like a cloth diaper (and just as sustainable), yet just as easy to put on as a disposable. No folding, no stacking, no separate pieces to wash.

    How much extra work do Lybbie diapers create?

    Surprisingly: no. Many Lybbie families even report that they have less effort since switching.

    You no longer need to buy diapers constantly, drive from store to store, or take out overflowing diaper trash. Your bin finally has room for actual household waste.

    Washing is simple: every 3–4 days, wash them together with washcloths and other 60-degree laundry and then hang them to dry. After a few hours, the diapers are dry.

    No folding techniques, no extras. Adjust them once to your child’s size — and you are done.

    Do all diapers have hook-and-loop closures?

    Yes, all diapers in the set have a hook-and-loop closure. Ours is durable, gentle on the skin, and noticeably less abrasive than many conventional versions.

    How many diapers do I need?

    If you want to use Lybbie full-time, we recommend our Basic Set with 14 diapers. It gives you everything you need to get started. If you prefer the extra convenience, our Comfort Set with 21 diapers is the best choice.

    Where does the stool go?

    It is disposed of easily thanks to our disposable liner.

    Place it in the diaper before changing, and then throw it away together with the stool in the trash.

    Wer steckt hinter Lybbie?
