Why should we rethink diapers?

Disposable diapers cause diaper rash in up to 50% of babies, cost families an average of over 2,500 euros , and leave behind 1.5 tons of waste (per child!).

Studies even link these ingredients to reduced fertility in adulthood.

It's time to change that.

Why Lybbie instead of disposable diapers

Lybbie works like a disposable diaper, but without its typical disadvantages.

Our Libbie diapers

Gentle on the skin and can significantly reduce irritation, often without the need for additional creams.
Can save over a thousand euros (for your piggy bank or your next vacation)
Reusable and washable
Stylish designs
Perfect comfort temperature - summer and winter
Grows with the child's size

Disposable diapers

Chemical additives can cause diaper rash.
This usually causes around €2,500 in costs over the diaper-changing period.
Disposable diapers are made of single-use plastic and generate around 1.5 tons of waste per child.
Unattractive diaper appearance
Too much heat is bad for skin and fertility.
Constant changes in diaper size

Diaper changing with Lybbie is that easy.

As simple as ever, only better.

Lybbie is an all-in-one diaper . Like a disposable diaper, you only need one piece and no extra parts.

The Velcro fastener makes diaper changing quick and intuitive, just like with a disposable diaper.

Thanks to the adjustable snap fasteners at the front , the Lybbie grows with the baby and fits many babies for months.

  • Toilet paper catches stool

Our diaper liner is a soft insert that is placed inside the diaper. It catches your baby's stool and can then be disposed of.

  • Putting a diaper on the baby

Just like a disposable diaper, the diaper is put on the baby and that's it.

  • The stool is disposed of.

You simply dispose of the stool along with the toilet paper in the trash can.

  • Put the diaper in the wet bag.

After changing the diaper, put the used diaper in the wet bag.

What distinguishes Lybbie from cloth diapers?

Our Lybbie diaper

Handling is like a disposable diaper.
Less laundry, as only one item needs to be washed.
Ready to go without preparation
Dries within a few hours

Cloth diapers

Several individual parts must first be assembled.
More laundry, as two or more items need to be washed.
Folding, stuffing or gathering before diapering
Dries for several hours

But what about...

...the shit?

It is simply disposed of in the trash can along with the toilet paper – a soft sheet that catches the stool.
Don't worry: Nothing that doesn't belong there will end up in your washing machine.

...all that laundry?

Lybbie consists of only one part and can simply be washed along with towels or washcloths – without any additional effort.

...the extra work?

With Lybbie, a lot of organization is eliminated: You don't have to buy diapers or constantly keep track of the right size. Simply throw them all in the washing machine and you're done.

...the expiry?

Our diapers reliably accompany you through everyday life: while shopping, driving, or at the playground. They are designed for longer intervals between diaper changes and offer excellent support thanks to their well-designed leak protection .

Frequently asked questions from other parents

How many diapers do I need?

If you want to use Lybbie full-time, we recommend our Basic Set with 14 diapers. It gives you everything you need to get started. If you prefer the extra convenience, our Comfort Set with 21 diapers is the best choice.

How do you wash the diapers?

Wash at 60 °C with a sensitive detergent (preferably powder) and a pre-wash cycle, following our detergent recommendations.

You do not need fabric softener or hygiene rinse. Afterwards, simply line-dry the diaper.

Tip: You can wash your diaper laundry every 3–4 days. Until then, you can store the diapers in the wet bag.

What happens when the baby grows?

We currently offer two sizes:

Size 1 (4–7 kg)
Size 2 (7–14 kg)

Our diapers grow with your baby thanks to the adjustable snaps on the front. If your baby reaches the upper end of the size range, it is worth switching to the next size.

Why is there no one-size option?

We intentionally work with multiple sizes so the diaper truly fits your child’s body. A one-size diaper would mean newborns would have to wear the same diaper as three-year-olds — and we do not consider that practical or comfortable.

Are Lybbie diapers hygienic?

Yes, Lybbie diapers are hygienic. Stool is caught by our disposable liner — a thin, soft, tear-resistant layer — and then disposed of in the trash.

The diaper itself is washed at 60 °C with a pre-wash cycle. The pre-wash removes residues, and the main wash then cleans the diaper hygienically.

Can I use Lybbie when I am out and about?

Yes, that is exactly what Lybbie was designed for.

Shopping trips, long car rides, or simply a busy day — thanks to its thoughtful leak protection and high absorbency, Lybbie offers reliable support in all these situations. So you do not have to worry about wet clothing.
