So sitzt die Lybbie Windel perfekt am Kind. Auslaufsicher und angenehm

The Lybbie diaper fits the child perfectly. Leakproof and comfortable.

Our Lybbie diapers grow with your baby. To ensure a perfect fit and prevent leaks, you can easily adjust the leg opening: thanks to the front snaps, the leg opening is enlarged or reduced depending on how tightly the snap is fastened. If the diaper is too loose around the legs, it can leak. When adjusted correctly, everything stays inside the diaper.

In this article, we will show you exactly how to attach the buttons for size 1 (newborns) and size 2 (babies and toddlers) .

Each diaper is shipped with the snaps undone and must be adjusted to the child's legs before first use. Generally, the thinner the child, the more snaps should be fastened.

The diaper should fit loosely around the legs and not cut into them.

Slight marks from the diaper are completely normal and do not hurt.

If the marks are deep and do not disappear even after hours without a diaper, the setting should be loosened or the diaper changed to the next size up.

Size 1 (3-6kg)

Diaper size 1 open

Size 1 has two types of snaps . One snap is located at the top between the Velcro closure ( belly button protection ), and two rows of snaps are found at the front to adjust the diaper to the legs.

Smallest setting

For newborns, fasten all snaps. Close the second row of snaps at the front and also the belly button protector. The belly button protector is located between the Velcro fasteners and pulls the diaper down slightly so that the belly button is exposed.
If there's still too much space around the legs, you can insert small washcloths or pieces of cut-up towel. Then nothing will leak.

Baby at least 2 weeks old

Once the belly button has fallen off and healed, the belly button protector snap can be opened . Usually, the baby's legs aren't yet thick enough for the next row of snaps.

About 1-2 months
Once the baby has gained weight , the next row of snaps is fastened. The timing of this varies from baby to baby, as some babies have thicker legs and others thinner ones. Just always check that the diaper fits loosely around the leg and that you can't see inside.

Size 2 (6-14kg)

Once a baby is between 3 and 4 months old, they will urinate significantly more at once. If size 1 diapers leak more and more frequently , even though they fit correctly, their absorbency is no longer sufficient and you should switch to size 2 .

Smallest setting
If your baby weighs around 6 to 7 kg , you should fasten the bottom row of snaps . The diaper will probably seem a bit bulky for the small baby, but don't worry, they will be able to move around comfortably in it .
When babies wear a Lybbie for the first time , they often lie still . This is not because they are unable to move, but because they want to feel the diaper first .

Next size
Babies are gaining weight much faster now, and their diaper size is changing. Always make sure the diaper fits loosely around the legs , but isn't so tight that you can see inside.

Other size
Always start with the smallest setting and then work your way up to the next setting based on leg thickness. This way you can easily see which setting fits perfectly.

Conclusion

Adjusting the diaper to the legs takes some getting used to at first, but it's very quick. The adjustment is retained even after washing , so you only need to readjust it when changing sizes.

It's a bit like the different sizes of disposable diapers. The advantage with Lybbie, however, is that you don't have to try different brands to find the right fit for your child's size. Instead, you can simply adjust the diaper size using the snaps.
